Formally Object to the Proposed AWPR

Neither Effective nor Affordable

To Alison Hughes, Transport Scotland

I hereby ask permission to submit my objection to the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route via email. Please see below my email objection.

This email should to be treated as a written objection to Road Orders, References RYC/G109/13/ 070-075inc and Environmental Statement RYC/G109/33/0701

Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route

I formally object to the making of the above orders.

I oppose these orders for the following reasons :

(Tick all the reasons you wish to make part of your objection.)

The proposed AWPR will fail to solve Aberdeen’s traffic congestion problems.

The increasing cost of the proposed road will hit north east taxpayers and lead to cuts in public services.

The proposed AWPR will cut a swathe through 46 km of special rural environment, much of it designated greenbelt, causing irreversible damage to it and to the River Dee Special Area of Conservation.

The proposed AWPR will induce additional traffic and create traffic congestion at new locations therefore undermining the Scottish Government's climate change strategy.

(Add any additional comments you may have.)

Please acknowledge receipt of this objection at your earliest convenience.

Yours sincerely
