NWAA required a revamped site which was easy for them to update.
WordPress 3, originally just a blogging system, can now be used as a complete content management system, and was determined as the best approach for this site, providing an easy-to-use admin section for site updating of static pages as well as posting of news, events, etc.

Comparison website
Green Electricity Marketplace
Not on the scale of uSwitch or MoneySuperkarket.com, but this is one of the top sites in its niche market of green electricity.
The site provides information about green tariffs available in each supply region (via postcode look-up) including regional prices. Visitors can then sign up online to their chosen tariff.
A MySQL database and php scripting is used to serve up the regional pricing and tariff details.

Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group
A site for a business-led environment initiative which includes SSE, BT, First Group, Stagecoach and Royal Mail.
It includes a bespoke content management system used for adding news and events information to the site.
We also designed the group’s logo.

Galloper Wind Farm
A consultation website for a planned offshore windfarm being proposed by SSE and RWE.
The site includes a bespoke content management system which includes a WYSIWYG editing system to allow client editing of page content and the uploading of images and pdfs.

Community group
Corstorphine Fair
Edinburgh’s largest Community run event, the Fair is a non-profit community event run by volunteers.
The site was developed and is maintained by us free of charge as part of our commitment to the local community.
While we can’t do this for every good cause, we do offer reduced rates for all charities and non-profit organisations.

The umbrella group for Scotland's voluntary environment organisations.
The website has a full range of online admin tools for updating the website. The content is stored on a MySQL database.
Site-wide updating, including categorised RSS feeds, is done through a single admin tool.

Renewable energy
Microgen Scotland
This site was set up for a range of charities and industry groups with an interest in promoting increased use of small-scale, local, renewable electricity generation.
The initial focus for this was a Bill in the Scottish Parliament from Sarah Boyack MSP. The site includes a weekly news digest on microrenewables, and background information on the Bill and other aspects of microrenewables.

Community project
Pilton Community Health Project
PCHP provides a range of health related services to its local community in North Edinburgh.
The site is currently being redeveloped to use the Content Management System provided by Wordpress 3. It is also being redesigned to match the organisations printed material.

Environment
New Caledonian Woodlands
This site promotes the activities of a charity which runs various projects to do with tree planting and enhancing the natural environment.
It includes a semi-static side menu, which scrolls with the page till it reaches the top of the browser window where, provided the full menu is visible, it will stick while the main content continues to scroll.

Local business
Kinnear Aerials
An Edinburgh-based TV aerial and satellite dish installer, its site is a basic single page plus email contact form.
This provides a low-cost online presence for the company to advertise its services.
The contact form provides visitors with an easy way to contact the company.
